This month’s Aistear theme was Clothes and Materials!
Junior and Senior Infants participated in lots of fun activities over the last few weeks.
Our Role Play area was transformed into a Clothes Shop and we had lots of fun pretending to be customers and shop keepers!
We also got the chance to sort and hang matching socks. We set our timer for 3 minutes and had to see how many socks we could match before time ran out!!
At our Creation Station, we designed our own mittens and wooly hats and made clothes out of playdoh. We learned all about the famous artist, Jackson Pollock, and tried to recreate his painting style using wool and clothes pegs.
We also learned about some common everyday materials and tested some of these in our water area to see whether or not they were waterproof!
